Barrio Fuente Summer Film School
An immersive film programme: one short film, a shared creative process, set in the cinematic landscapes of Almería.

During this six-day intensive course in short filmmaking, guided by professional filmmakers, participants take part in the creation of a short film, covering all key aspects of the filmmaking process. The film is edited and screened on the final day. Participants receive a private link to the finished film, including credits, along with a certificate of completion.

BC1-26: May 31 - June 5
BC2-26: Oct 4 - Oct 9
Participation fee: €1,400 per person.
Early bird fee: €1,250 for registrations received before 15 March 2026. 
The Creative Film Bootcamp takes place with a minimum number of 7 participants. To ensure a focused and shared creative process, the group is limited to a maximum of 10 participants.

Photography Workshop

Photography in rural Andalusia

Guided by photographer Oscar Seykens, this one-week workshop is dedicated to attentive looking & working with landscape, light and narrative in the rural surroundings of Andalusia.

We will explore beautiful and characteristic locations in and around the village, observing how different light situations shape atmosphere and story throughout the day.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own camera. Working with a smartphone is also fully welcome. The focus of the workshop lies in seeing, composition and understanding light, rather than equipment. The workshop combines practical assignments, collective review sessions and individual guidance.

The Photography workshop takes place with a minimum number of 7 participants. To ensure a focused and shared creative process, the group is limited to a maximum of 10 participants.

Documentary Filmmaking Workshop

An immersive documentary film workshop: creating one short documentary based on local subjects, through a shared creative process, set in a region shaped by stories and change.

During this five-day intensive course in documentary filmmaking, guided by professional filmmakers, participants take part in the research, writing, and production process, covering all key aspects of documentary filmmaking.

The film is edited and screened on the final day. Participants receive a private link to the finished film, including credits, along with a certificate of completion.dates:
